Hello!
I'm Adam Laboda, a Theatremaker who specialises in Playwriting, Directing, and Producing, but I do also perform sometimes!

I have written and directed a variety of performances ranging from New Writing pieces to adaptions of two classic novels. Most recently my play A Proper Working-Class Sausage Roll, premiered at the Bread and Roses Theatre in London to a great response, and is returning there at the end of 2024.

WHO IS ADAM LABODA?
This is a great question, I'm so glad I've asked myself! I am a working class theatremaker from Shropshire, who now resides in London, UK. I use the term theatremaker to describe my creative work as I do a bit of everything within the theatre world. My specialisms are in playwriting and directing, but you can also catch me performing on stage sometimes, or in the background producing someone's show. I feel at home in every kind of performance space; be it a West End venue, an outdoor amphitheatre, or a pub theatre. You'll catch me watching as many shows as possible, for entertainment, but also to expand my knowledge of the current industry trends. I like to work collaboratively with people who share the same passions and ambitions. Within that work, I put a significant focus on fun, as I believe the best work is created when you are having fun. This means I often play games and use absurdist techniques in rehearsals and workshops to connect with the team, brighten the mood, and develop a performance. Looking to the future, I wish to expand my writing to include work for screen as well as the stage. Stage will always be my focus, but I have a dream of becoming the next showrunner for Doctor Who, which I'll have to get to somehow!
